SODAF INSIGNIA LTD — Standards of Design, Asset & Facilities — is a premium real estate and hospitality asset advisory ecosystem, purpose-built for the serviced apartment and luxury property sector across Nigeria and emerging African markets. SODAF was established in direct response to a structural gap: the serviced apartment market is expanding rapidly across Africa, yet the operational thinking, professional standards, and performance frameworks required to sustain that growth remain largely absent. Assets are being acquired, furnished, and listed — but rarely structured. SODAF exists to change that.

Meet the Founder
Most hospitality assets in Nigeria are not underperforming because of the market. They are underperforming because of the structure behind them — or the absence of it. Oluwashola Johnson has spent over a decade solving exactly that problem. As Managing Director of a premium Lagos serviced apartment portfolio, she grew the operation from 12 to 32active units across the city — achieving consistent above-market occupancy and industry-leading guest review averages. Every system SODAF INSIGNIA LTD uses today was built from that operational reality. Not adapted from a textbook. Built from the ground up, in this market.
Oluwashola holds a Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA®) designation from the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute — one of fewer than a handful of CHA®-designated professionals operating in the Nigerian serviced apartment sector. She holds an Honorary Doctorate in Transformational Leadership, Social Welfare, and Hospitality Management (Honoris Causa) and a Platinum Fellowship from the Chartered Institute of Leadership, Manpower Management & Development (CILMMD) UK. She is currently pursuing an MSc in Tourism & Hospitality Management at Rome Business School. She is a Certified Hospitality Sales & Marketing Management Professional, an Active Member of Women in Hospitality Nigeria (WIHN), and an Associate Member of WIMBIZ.
Oluwashola is the Founding Chair of the Serviced Apartments & Short-Let Guild of Nigeria (SASGN) — the first professional industry body for the sector in Nigeria. She is the author of Beyond Apartments: The Real Business of Serviced Apartments & Hospitality in Africa, and the Convener of The Hospitality Insider — a multi-platform hospitality media brand comprising a podcast, the television series Inside Africa's Most Luxurious Serviced Apartments, and a forthcoming quarterly magazine.
Beyond her commercial work, Oluwashola leads the Judith Judith Foundation — an NGO committed to community development and the empowerment of young people. SODAF INSIGNIA LTD is the commercial expression of everything she has built. It is not a startup finding its way. It is a structured firm — led by someone who has done the work, in this market, at this level, and can prove it.
