SODAF Advisory

Implementation & Stabilisation Guidance.

The difference between a strategy that looks good on paper and an asset that actually performs is implementation. Most hospitality assets in Nigeria that underperform do not suffer from bad ideas. They suffer from good ideas that were never properly installed. SODAF’s Implementation & Stabilisation Guidance service provides structured support during the critical setup and early operation phase ensuring that frameworks are correctly installed, teams are properly oriented, and the asset reaches stable, consistent performance within a defined timeframe.

What Is Implementation & Stabilisation Guidance?

Structured advisory support during the period between a strategy being defined and an asset reaching stable operational performance. This is the phase where plans meet reality, and where most assets either build strong operational foundations or develop the bad habits that limit performance for years. SODAF provides hands-on guidance during this phase — working directly with the property owner, general manager, or house manager to ensure that the operational systems are correctly installed, the team understands the standard, and the asset’s performance trajectory is moving in the right direction from the very first guest.

What the Engagement Covers

Systems installation: ensuring the SODAF Operations Playbook (or agreed operational framework) is correctly set up across housekeeping, guest communication, maintenance, and reporting. Team orientation: working with the property’s operational team to ensure they understand the standard, know their roles, and have the tools to deliver consistently. Platform setup and launch: ensuring all booking platforms are correctly configured, the listing is optimised, the photography is approved, and the opening pricing strategy is in place before the first booking is accepted. First-guest quality control: a structured review of the first several guest cycles to identify and correct any operational gaps before they become patterns. Performance monitoring: weekly check-ins during the stabilisation period to review occupancy, revenue, and guest feedback in real time. Stabilisation sign-off: a formal review at the end of the engagement confirming the asset has reached consistent performance and the owner or management team is equipped to sustain it independently.

How Long Does It Take?

The standard stabilisation engagement runs for 4 to 12 weeks from the first guest check-in, depending on the complexity of the asset and the operational maturity of the team. Hotels and larger developments may require a longer stabilisation period. This is discussed and agreed before the engagement begins.

The Deliverable

What the client receives: Structured advisory support from setup to stable performance covering systems installation, team orientation, platform launch, first-guest quality control, weekly performance monitoring, and a formal stabilisation sign-off. Delivered through a combination of in-person visits, virtual check-ins, and written progress reports.
